Voter Registration for Non-Resident Indians (NRIs)

 

Every Indian citizen staying in a foreign country, who has not acquired citizenship of a foreign country and has completed 18 years of age as on 1st January of the year, can apply in Form 6A for registration in the electoral roll of the constituency corresponding to the place of residence in India as mentioned in the passport.

3. Once enrolled, the Indian national living abroad will be able to cast his/her vote in the election for the concerned constituency by being physically present at the polling station on the day of election along with the original passport.

 

Please note that there is no provision for voting by post, voting at Indian Missions abroad, or online voting.
