STUDENT VISA

Student visas are granted to people who wish to come to India and study at an officially recognized educational institution. This includes the study of Yoga, Vedic culture, and Indian system of dance and music.

Validity: The Embassy may grant a student visa for a period of five years or for the duration of the course.

Documents Required:

1. Two 2 x 2 (inches) size photos
2. Passport valid for at least 6 months beyond the contemplated stay in India with photocopy.
3. Admission Letter from a recognized Educational Institution in India.
4. Satisfactory evidence of financial support
5. Before applying for Student Visa, applicants may note that they have to register themselves in the Study in India (SII) Portal: studyinindia.gov.in. Upon registration, the portal generates a unique ID/SII- ID which has to be quoted on the Student Visa application.
