OTHER VISA TYPES

1. CONFERENCE VISA

   This type of visa is issued for the participation in international conferences/ seminars/ workshops/ meetings/ symposium being organized by Government bodies, international organizations, public sector units and NGOs in India.

   Documents Required:

   1. 2 passport size photos (Size: 2x2 inches).
   2. Passport valid for at least 6 months beyond the contemplated stay in India with photocopy.
   3. A letter of invitation from the organizers of the Conference/ Volunteering Institutes and approvals/ clearances obtained by the organizers from the Government of India for holding the Conference/ volunteer ship to be attached. These are: Clearance letters from the Ministry of Home Affairs; the Ministry of External Affairs; State Government/ Union Territories and the Nodal Ministry that holds jurisdiction over the conference. (Example, an education conference needs a clearance letter from the Ministry of Education. For participation in certain conferences, reference/ approval therefore, require a longer processing time).

2. JOURNALIST VISA

   This type of visa is issued to journalists and media personnel travelling to India for professional/ work related/ tourism or for any other purpose except for employment in an Indian Media Organization.

   Validity: 6 Months

3. MEDICAL VISA

   A medical visa may be applied for by a person travelling to India for specialized medical treatment. Attendant/family members of the patient may be granted medical attendant visa which is co-terminus with the medical visa of the patient.

   Documents Required:

   1. For Medical/ Ayush Visa applicants needs to have a valid Medical Appointment Letter from genuine hospitals by pre-validating Medical Visa. Applicants are advised to visit the 'Medical and Ayush Visa Portal' by using the URL https://indianfrro.gov.in/frro/medicalvaluetravel to generate Medical Visa Invitation letter and Medical Visa Extension Letter for Medical Visa/Medical Attendant Visa/Ayush Visa/Ayush Attendant Visa which needs to be submitted with the Visa application form. Medical/ Ayush Visa can be issued only after pre-validation.
   2. Print out of the online application form duly signed.
   3. One latest colour photograph with white background (size 2”x 2”).
   4. Original passport with validity of at least 6 months (Minimum 2 blank pages should be available to stamp the visa).

   Processing Time: 5 working days

4. FILM VISA

   Film Visa is issued to such applicants who are coming to shoot a feature film/ reality TV show and/ or commercial TV serials in India provided the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Govt. of India, has approved the proposal, subject to the following conditions

   Validity: 1 Year
