RENEWAL OF PASSPORT

Documents to be uploaded with the application:

1. Upload an ICAO compliant photograph (mandatory)/ signature, Or share soft copy of ICAO compliant photograph. For more details on ICAO compliant photograph please refer guidelines
2. Self attested copy of old passport (first and last page)
3. Self attested copy of Valid Visa or ACR card

Please note: Application forms without uploaded photo, signature and requisite documents will not be accepted. Do not forget to bring the originals of the uploaded documents for verification at the time of submission of the application

Other Documentary requirements in following cases (these additional documents can be uploaded in 'Others' while uploading the document online)

Change in address in India:

• Proof of change of address in India, if applied for inclusion in fresh passport.

Marriage, Divorce and Separated Case:

• For addition of Spouse Name in passport:
  1. Original Marriage Certificate with photocopy authenticated by the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) and apostilled by the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) of the Philippines in the case of marriage solemnized in the Philippines or by Ministry of External Affairs (MEA), New Delhi in the case of marriage solemnized in India.
  2. Joint Photo Declaration signed by both husband and wife (Annexure J).
• For deletion of Spouse Name:
  1. Divorce Order/Decree.
• For Change of Spouse Name:
  1. Divorce Order/Decree or Death Certificate of first spouse's name and
  2. Re-marriage certificate & Joint Photo Declaration signed by both husband and wife (Annexure J)
• For a change of surname by women applicant following marriage/divorce:
  1. Marriage Certificate (Apostilled from relevant authorities) & Joint Photo Declaration signed by both husband and wife (Annexure J)
  2. Divorce Order/Decree (if name/surname change is based on divorce).

In case more than three year has elapsed since the expiry of the Passport:

• Affidavit stating that the applicant has not obtained any other nationality (Affidavit)

In case there is change of name in the passport

• Prescribed Deed Poll/Sworn Affidavit (Affidavit for change in name)
• Advertisement in two reputed newspaper (one local newspaper of the area in which he/she is residing and 2nd in newspaper of the area of permanent address) and submit original newspaper cuttings at the time of application of the passport

For renewal of passport of Minors:

• Declaration of Parent/Guardian for Minor Passports (Annexure "D")
• If Passport applied by one parent when other parent not giving consent, then application must carry a declaration affirming the particulars furnished in the application about the minor as per “Annexure C”.

Processing time: 15-30 working days, depending upon the receipt of Police verification report.
