Business to Business (B2B) Meeting with IEEMA Trade Delegation from India

The Embassy of India, Manila in coordination with Indian Electrical and Electronics Manufactures Association (IEEMA), the apex Indian industries body in the specialized sector of electricals, industrial electronics and allied equipment and the Philippine Overseas Construction Board (POCB), an attached agency of the Philippine Department of Trade and Industry organized a Business to Business (B2B) networking event in Manila, on 11th July, 2023. An IEEMA delegation from India comprising of 25 representatives from 22 leading Indian companies in the field of electricals, industrial electronics and related services is currently visiting the Philippines. Nearly 70 Filipino entrepreneurs who are engaged in electricals and industrial electronics sector also participated in the event for potential collaborations with their Indian counterparts.

The opening session of the event was addressed by H.E. Shambhu S. Kumaran, Ambassador of India to the Philippines, Under Secretary Railways, Cesar Chavez, Department of Transportation (DOTr), Atty. Marco C. Maat, Executive Director of the Construction Industry Authority of the Philippines (CIAP), Mr. Mark Christian Marollano of the Department of Energy and Ms Doris U. Gacho, Executive Director of Philippine Overseas Construction Board

(POCB).

During the visit, the IEEMA delegation will also be visiting various sites/locations and interacting with a range of Filipino stakeholders in the electricals and allied sectors. It is also expected that this B2B event and the IEEMA delegation visit to Philippines will increase the mutual sourcing of electrical/electronics products as part of diversification of supplies and integration of value chains.
