Ambassador (Designate) Jaideep Mazumdar interacting with Indian students in Davao Medical School Foundation (DMSF). Presently, about 4500 students are enrolled in the DMSF studying BS and medical course. In all, over 10,000 Indian students are pursuing BS and medical course in various colleges in the Philippines with maximum students enrolled in DMSF followed by Perpetual Dalta in Las Pinas which has about 1800 students. Significant number of Indian students are also in NCR region of Manila, Vigan, Cebu, Bicol, etc.

As a part of India 70 celebrations, Embassy of India in Manila, Philippines is organizing a Food Festival of India in collaboration with Sofitel Hotel and Resorts. The Food Festival (11 17 September, 2017) was inaugurated on 29th August, 2017 in the presence of various distinguished guests and media. The Food Festival also incorporates cooking class with Chef Halim Ali Khan on 12th September, 2017.
