India and Philippines hold bilateral meeting on the side lines of the 9th East Asia Summit (EAS) and the 26th ASEAN Regional Forum (ARF) in Bangkok, Thailand.

External Affairs Minister (EAM), Dr. S. Jaishankar, met Foreign Affairs Secretary, Teodoro Locsin Jr., on 1 August 2019 on the side lines of EAS and ARF.

This is the first bilateral meeting between both the leaders since EAM, Dr. S. Jaishankar, assumed charge as the External Affairs Minister of India.
