Embassy of India, Manila is pleased to announce that the Department of Pharmaceuticals, Ministry of Chemical & Fertilizers, Government of India along with Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce & Industry (FICCI) is organizing the 6th edition of International Conference on Pharmaceutical & Medical Device Sector i.e. India Pharma 2021 & India Medical Device 2021 virtually from 25-26 February 2021 & 1-2 March, 2021 respectively.

• Indian pharmaceutical sector accounts for about 2.4% of the global pharmaceutical industry in value terms and 10% in volume terms

• The sector increased at a CAGR of ~13% over 10 year period and is expected to grow at a CAGR of ~22% to reach USD 55 billion by 2020 (from 2015)

• By 2020, India is expected to be 6th largest market globally

• Leader in exports: Exported products worth USD 15 billion in FY15 and exports are expected to reach USD 40 billion by 2020

• India accounts for 20% of global exports in generics, largest provider of generic medicines globally

• Attracted FDI worth USD 13.5 billion during January 2000 to December 2015 (5% of total FDI)
