Cooperation between the Embassy of India in Philippines and Batangas State University’s Knowledge, Innovation, and Science Technology (KIST) Park will be officially launched in an event scheduled to be held on 15 February 2021 at  Batangas State University Pablo Borbon Campus, Batangas City.


On this occasion, a key note message will be delivered by H.E. Shambhu S. Kumaran,  Ambassador of India to Philippines. The inaugural session of the event will also have special messages from H.E. Carlos G. Domiguez III, Secretary, Department of Finance; H.E. William Dar, Secretary, Department of Agriculture; Ms. Charito B. Plaza, Director General, Philippine Economic Zone Authority and Hon. Mario Vittorio Marino, Representative, 5th District of Batangas.

The event aims to strengthen bilateral cooperation between the entities in India and Philippines in the field of science, technology, innovation and knowledge economy, by providing a platform for collaboration between innovators, especially in the field of fintech, agritech, edutech and IT Services sector.

The event will also witness participation of the country head of two leading Indian IT Services companies (M/s Hinduja Global Solutions, Philippines and M/s HCL Infrastructure Services, Philippines) as panelists. Companies in agritech sector in India, which have been providing innovative solutions ranging from high-tech drones, IoT devices and data analytics to AI and satellite imagery would also be participating virtually.
