Bharati Manila, an Association of Indian Expatriate Women in the Philippines, in association with the Embassy of India organized this year's Grand Diwali celebration on 11 November, 2018 at Dusit Thani Manila. The program started with the lighting of the traditional lamp followed by Ambassador Jaideep Mazumdar's opening remarks. Mrs. Parvati Mazumdar, patron of Bharati, also addressed the gathering. It was followed by a cultural performance by a group of children and Mr. Rahul Mukherjee & Ms. Pooja Shankar, singers from Mumbai, India. The gathering was attended by distinguished members of the Indian community and friends of India.
