 Indian E-Visa  

e-Visa is granted to a foreigner whose sole objective for visiting India is recreation, sight seeing,casual visit to meet friends and relatives, attending a short term yoga programme, Short term courses on local languages, music, dance, arts & crafts, cooking, medicine etc. which should not be a formal or structured course/programme (courses not exceeding 6 months duration and not issued with a qualifying certificate/ diploma etc),Voluntary work of short duration (for a maximum period of one month, which do not involve any monetary payment or consideration of any kind in return), medical treatment including treatment under Indian systems of medicine, business purpose, as attendant to e-Medical visa holder, attending a conference/ seminar/ workshop organized by a Ministry or Department of the Government of India, State Governments or UT Administrations etc. & their subordinate/ attached organizations & PSUs and private conferences organized by private persons/companies/organizations.

2. This facility shall not be available if the person or either of his / her parents or grand parents (paternal or maternal) was born in, or was permanently resident in Pakistan. e-Visa facility shall not be available to holders of Diplomatic/Official passports, UNLP (UN Passport) holders and international travel document holders e.g. INTERPOL officials.

3. e-Visa has 9 sub-categories viz. e-Tourist Visa(for 30 days/01 year/ 05 years), e-Business Visa, e-Medical Visa, e-Medical Attendant Visa, e-Conference Visa, e-Ayush Visa, e-Ayush Attendant Visa, e-Student Visa and e-Student Dependent Visa.

4. For applying for e-Visa,the foreign national may fill in the application online on the official e-Visa website https://indianvisaonline.gov.in/visa/tvoa.html. For complete information of the e-Visa process, requirements, fee, duration etc. please visit the official website. Do not use any other website, as the e Visa should be applied only through the above mentioned website.

5. e-Visa application may take 72 hours or more for processing. Applicant will be intimated about your Visa status (Granted or Rejected) on your email id provided by you in the e-Visa application. Applicant will receive an Electronic Travel Authorisation (ETA) on their registered email id if the e-visa is approved. Applicant should carry a copy of ETA along with him/her at the time of travel. Please confirm that your ETA status is shown as 'GRANTED' on this website prior to commencement of your journey. Applicants can track the status of their application online at https://indianvisaonline.gov.in/visa/tvoa.html.

6. Your e-Visa application may take upto 72 hours for processing. For more enquiries on your e-Visa application, you can contact at (+91) 82 7808 7808 or +91 11 24300666 or e-mail at indian-evisa@gov.in. The applicants are advised to beware of unscrupulous elements/ travel agents/ intermediaries in this regard. In cases where applicants have been asked for correct details or additional information or where application is incomplete, the same must be sent immediately. If such information is not provided within 72 hours, the application is liable to be rejected.

7. e-Visa is non-extendable, non-convertible & not valid for visiting Protected/Restricted and Cantonment Areas.

e-Tourist visa for 30-days to the Philippines Citizens on gratis basis

8. The Government of India has decided to grant e-Tourist visa for 30-days to the Philippines Citizens on gratis basis (no visa fee) for the initial period of one year  effective from August 1, 2025 to July 31, 2026.

9. The 30-day e-Tourist visa can be applied online at the existing e-visa link https://indianvisaonline.gov.in/evisa/tvoa.html. By default, a double entry e-Tourist visa  valid for 30 days from the date of the first arrival in India will be granted to the applicant. Double entries will be granted within the e-Visa validity period stamped by the Bureau of Immigration on the Passport at the time of entry. The first arrival must be made on or before the date mentioned in the Electronic Travel Authorization (ETA)
